Ok ive been workin on gettin this new gaming system built for about the last 4 monts. Right from the start i was dead set on gettin the Athlon 64 processor but i still have no clue which one i want.

So far the specs look like this:

Motherboard: Abit KV8 Pro with the VIA K8T800Pro chipset
Hard Drive: One Maxtor 120Gb 7200RPM Ultra ATA/133 8Mb Cache
Processor: Undecided, Athlon 64 3200+ or 3400+(need a lil help on that one)
Memory: Dual DDR 512Mb PC3200, Undecided on maker(need a lil help)
Vid Card: BFG GeForceFX 5500 OC 256Mb DDR(could use a lil update but good for now)
Operating System: Windows Xp Pro(80Gg Partition) / Red Hat Linux(40Gb Partition)

Now i need a lil help on deciding which processor, and what maker of RAM i should get. Ive read great reviews for both the 3200 and the 3400 CPU but im still not for sure on which one i want. And as for the RAM i really just need a lil help on deciding the manufactuer of it, i was thinking Kingston or Corsair.

Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.

Either proc is excellent, you need to decide what your budget allows you to get.

You definately need to get the best mem possible for this beast.
Mushkin 2-2-2 Special would be ideal
OR
Corsair XMS Xtra-Low Latency

If money is a problem, go with the 3200 and splurge on the mem.
