Will be ordering these parts in the next 2 weeks. Needs a good case around 200 bucks.

amd 64 x2 4800+
asus a8n sli premium
xfx 7800 gtx (one for now 2 after 2 weeks)
2GB Crucial Balistix pc4000 RAM
120GB western digital hard drive
audigy 2zs
ocz 520watt power supply.

any recommendations? oh yeah its going to be air cooled.
 
God damn! Theres like 4 G's there!

I would recommend some sort of Lian Li case, PC-65 or higher.

PS: I think you would notice a considerable difference having a Raptor hard drive or two on your system instead of the regular 120 gig hdd. I know I sure did!
 
hmm. im little iffy on spending 250 on a case. the antec p180 looks very attractive, especially for around 130...

meh....$3100+ for pc parts, why cheap out on the case. P180 looks too cramped if you ask me, theres better cases to spend the money on.

im going to go vapochill! vapochill ls to be precise. along with a lian li pc65B case! :cool:

kinda wak....dump that wd120...wtf u using a slower hdd for like that when everything else in the system is near top of line.....get a WD RAPTOR!!!! hell, the way ur droppin $$ why not get 2 of em and raid em?

yeah im still configuring the system. so far:

amd 64 x2 4800+
dfi nforce 4 sli dr
ocz pc4800 DDR 600
BFG 7800GTX x2
Western Digital Raptor 74GB
Maxtor Diamond Max 10 300GB
vapochill ls and lian li 65b

total cost around 4,400. should take me about 4 weeks to get that kind of cash.
 
No need to raid 2 raptors. You wont see any gains. You should however get a 74g raptor and something like a seagate 250g Sata drive ( something like $118 atm) instead of the drive you have listed.

i sell vacuums for kirby (best vacuum company period)

make around 400 of each vacuum i sell (takes around 3 hours to sell one to a customer) average of 3 vacuums a week = 1200 a week. thats without the bonuses

sell 2 = $50 bucks bonus
sell 3 = 250 bonus
sell 4 = 350 bonus
sell 5 = 500 bonus

so 1450 in a week for 3 vacuums sold :D, plus i get to write off all my expenses (gas food mileage...)

oh and the company sets all my appointments, i dont have to call the customer or go door to door.
