I'm now about to buy my athlon 64bit 3500+ winchester 939. Im just wondering if the Artic Silver 5 themal compound works ok with this 3500 and the heatkink you get with it?

i'm sure it would, i just got a new retail amd64 2800+ and i looked at the heatsink that comes with it and it has a thermal pad already stuck to it so you would have to remove that first of course before applying the arctic silver
 
ok thanks, ive just now ordered :D cant wait. I should see a huge performance increase going from athlon palamino 2000 to winchester 3500+
