Hey all,

I'm currently looking for a decent kvm switch for 3 of my linux boxes at home. I've tried 2 different Belkin kvm's and they're simply crap. Whenever I switch to any of the boxes, and wait the interval time, the mouse cursor jumps all over the place.I tried the belkin kvm's on some of my Windows workstations and they worked great. Just not with linux. Does anyone know of a decent kvm switch that works great with linux?

My budget for the kvm is around $110. Give or take.

Thanks in advance..

You don't mention if you're switching PS/2 or USB. Or VGA or DVI.

I've used a couple of IOGEAR switches that wer good. Otherwise, I think you're best off finding a used server-grade switch (eg, Cybex or Avocent) on eBay.

KVMs are really bad news. Many people use them or need them, but they're completely unsupported by mouse and keyboard manufacturers.

I have a IOGEAR one that seems to work with linux. Been using it for about a year and my only complaint is that the multimedia keys stoped working on my keyboard.
