I have a cheap logitech 2:1, unshielded setup that hums at low and high volumes. The hummmmmmmmm is very audible and mightily disturbing, probably because it's unshielded. So I'm looking for a decent replacement, 2 satellites, 1 sub, preferrably shielded. Any suggestions?

klipsch promedia 2.1 or the klipsch ifi.
Spent some time researching the promedia. Looks like a winner. Thanks

quick question though. Do you keep the sub powered on all the time? With the power switch on the backside of the sub, and my sub underneath my computer desk, I really really don't want to crawl under my desk and turn the damned thing on and off all the time.

you might want to take a look at the logitech z-2300s. very comparable to the promedias and can be found under $100 nowadays.

Thanks, bought the promedias used for $88. Hopefully I didn't screw up, but the reviews I've read on some of the comparable logitechs left me less than confident that I wouldn't have the same hummmmmmmming issues that I have now.

when i still had mine, the sub was on all the time. didn't see any reason to turn the speakers off when not in use.

Should be good!
