Need a CRT for gaming

I need a CRT that will support 1280x1024 @ 100mhz. This is for gaming. Any suggestions? If not, suggest a good LCD (2ms response time) for me.

I would go LCD, just made the move from a 19" CRT to a 22" LCD. I play a lot of games and it has worked out perfectly.

A cheaper one, the NEC FE2111 can do what you want it to, but the above models are some of the best ever made.

Why does this one cause tearing and how do I know the one you gave me wont cause tearing in-game?

You're going to get tearing if your video card's FPS is faster than the monitor's refresh rate, so he probably had V.sync on.
Depends on what the refresh rate on his LCD was also.
