Need a Cisco Guy

marley1, has your issue been resolved?
if not, you still haven't told us what had happened other than that vpn stopped working.
could it be that the problem is on the client side?

from your post above, i'm assuming you are using Windows 7 VPN client to connect... for pix you need the Cisco VPN client (in some cases you need an OLDER version of the Cisco VPN client to connect)
Is it possible that whoever was connecting to the pix had his workstation changed or os reinstalled?

pixes are workhorses (old workhorses :)) , stuff just doesn't stop working for no reason.
just my 2 cents, hope some of it helps

To a degree. I don't think I fixed anything. He tried from another laptop and it worked. It was probably an issue with the host.

Okay what about the VPN portion? Does something look wrong?

Going through the Win7 VPN it goes through the process but fails and says:

Connection failed with error 2147952460
A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a perio f of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.

Win7 will not connect to a old PIX using PPTP cause they removed MS Chap v1.
