So I'm rocking a 900 but cant stand having the change the panty-hose filters once a week (a really dusty house to it gets to be really annoying).

I'm set to sell on the case and some other bits for about £100 and can afford to add another £50 on top of that for a new case. The Lian Li V2010 really has my gitch up in a bunch, but its ever so slightly out of budget with the non-parity of prices out here. But cases are the one point where I'll always be an non-knowledgeable idiot so I really need some help figuring out what to get. I'm in need of something that cools well, can take a crap load of HDDs as I'll be adding a few more soon. And filters, I need easy to clean filters for the intake fans.
 
my personal favorite case is the Lian Li V1200. Great looking case. I dont know the exchange rate to USD so i dont know if its in ur price range or not. You should check it out none the less.doesnt have a good filter system w/ all those holes in the front panel.
 
Anyone knows how well the V2010 compares against the 900 for cooling? Also, how is the filter changed on the V2010? Thanks again for any assistance boys!
 
I love my new Antec P182, went from a 900 to it and it's clean, its MUCH quieter, less bright, and overall was a wonderful case to work with :)
 
I was thinking about the P182 at one point, but its just a bit small for what I want.

Antec's cheap Stacker copy is all about maximizing airflow while Lian Li's airflow is well controlled.
At least with optional PCI/graphic card cooler it should have quite good cooling capacity:

5.25" covers should be removable from front so filters of those are easy to clean.
14cm fan of lower chamber has filter in same frame as fan.

Antec P18x/190 are only cases I know whose filters are removable from outside of case... and you're right for P18x being really small for long graphic cards. Too bad P190 had PR designed dual PSU system as default. I wonder have they learned anything for P193:

I won't recommend a V1000 for tons of drives, but feel free to copy off what I've done.

I bought a 900 drive bay from Antec for $20 and put it in my 1000 to get intake airflow in the upper chamber with my layout. Stock airflow has the rear as intake in the upper chamber and the PlusII cooler as exhaust, but the PlusII cooler will not fit with my HR-03 GT cooler on my 8800GT. So I reversed the rear to be exhaust, with my TRUE fan pushing to the rear exhaust...and I needed an intake in the front. (Especially because Tracers get too frickin' hot.)

(I did replace the TriCool with an S-Flex SFF21E, and I also bought a LL mesh 5.25 bay cover to replace the left over 'solid' regular one that is in the 2nd bay from the top.)

I have no dust in my case. Literally. No dust.
Other than a little bit of cat hair in the outside front of the case every few days (easily wiped off), my case has no dust whatsoever. Airflow is nearly a straight line from front to back, intake to exhaust. (Which is probably why I have no dust; there is no place for it to collect.)

This is something you can do on any of the V1x00/V2x00 cases, really. Initially I bought the LL 3x5.25 fan bezel that goes in the 343 cube cases but it didn't fit in my 1000. So then I opted to get the Antec 900 bay adapter since it's cheap and looked similar to the case anyway.

I really like that idea, but again, the building I live in is MUCH dustier than your average living space. If Antec sold the drive cage that comes with the 1200 however, I think that'd be a done deal.
 
Yeah, they don't *yet* but I bet they will. ;)

My house is pretty dusty; we rarely have time to clean between my 1st shift job, my wife's 2nd shift job, + raising a 3 1/2 y/o daughter. + 4 cats and a dog... :p :D Craziness...:)
 
What exactly are you putting into the comp that you cant fit in a p182? I'm planning to add one of the new GTX2xx series vid cards, along with keeping my old 8800 GTS 640mb. Plus I run 4 HDDs in the lower tray, and keep the middle tray empty which would then allow enough space for the graphic cards.

He has 4 HDs now which will populate the entire lower bay (like yours).

If he adds more drives (as he mentions) then he has to use the upper bay, and the upper bay causes clearance issues with long graphics cards when it has drives in it (or even just "sitting there"). When I had my P182, I removed the upper cage so the front upper intake wasn't so blocked off and that also gave my 8800GT more breathing room.

Actually, I'm already using 5 drives, so while the P182 is very nice, it just doesnt have the room that cases like the V2010 have, and that is what really floats my boat right now.
