1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Office applications, printing/scanning. Looking for a laptop!
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
$400-500 would be ideal...

Want everything including Windows 7 (no Windows 8 please). Would be nice to have an optical drive of some sort.

Thanks for the recommendation. I was hoping for an i3 and a decent screen size, so this could fit the bill.

Only downside is the 9 day build time... oof!
 
Any other suggestions? I might just grab something off of Amazon to make sure she doesn't have to wait 2-3 weeks :c/
 
I would buy almost any system for that price range. My own preference is for Asus in that price range. I'd buy an i3 but otherwise, the model would depend on the screen size. I really like the small ones since they are much easier to carry.
 
I'd consider a Best Buy sale or other local but nationwide store chain. It makes returns faster.
 
Would you consider a Dell Outlet machine? They're running some coupons through the end of the month.
