Need a bit of help...

I'm looking into a laptop for a friend, and I would like to get something at least 17"
Intel I5 or higher (AMD is fine too)
500GB HD
4+ gigs RAM
Blu-Ray Drive
1080P screen (THIS is the tricky part, all laptops seem to be 720p)

All needs to be $800 or so... up to $1000 maximim.

Anyone know of one that fits the bill?

He wants new, not used.

New Egg has the following in the price range but it's not 1080P and it's an AMD Dual Core. It does however have a 17" screen, 4GB or RAM, and a BD Rom.

Usually value laptops dont come with 1080p screen most of the 1366x768 and some 1600x900, but one very close to what your friend wants is the Sager NP5170 - 17'' 1920x1080 with Sandy bridge i5/i7, Nvidia GTX540m optimus so it will switch to intels gma when the gpu isnt used, you can upgrade the optical drive to Blu Ray for $80, upgrade the i5 to i7 quad for $30, upgrade the 320gb hd to 500gb for $20, thats $1009 (+shipping and no OS).
