So I was looking at buying a 22" monitor but then realized most of the 22"s are going to a 1900x1080 resolution. For those that have them, does this make text too small on a 22"? Should I look to go to a 23 to compensate?

It used to be that if you got a 22" you didn't have to worry so much about graphic cards because the resolution of 1680x1050 wasn't as demanding. Now I'm not so sure.

its 1920x1080

and the pixel pitch is still larger than most decent CRTs and (imo) where it should be (its around .257-.260 at 1920x1080 on a 22" WS)

in other words, no, it will not be a problem at all

There are a lot of 22"s at 1920x1080? News to me...

If you don't mind WSXGA+ resolution (1680x1050), the 2209WA monitor is the way to go, hands down.

That's if you can find one at a good price. I know a lot of us are, too. ;)

I have a 21.5" Dell SX2210 that has 1920x1080 resolution. I use windows scalar to increase font size by 25%, from 96 dpi to 120 dpi, and everything looks very crisp and easy to read. Your own eyes my vary but you can always increase font size for reading purposes.
