My HD is messed up . First i cant get into windows it says im missing files gid32.dll and i cant copy them from my xp disk. I cant even reformatt and lose anything, if theres a way to save my files without acessing windows TELL ME PLZ. i try to enter xp setup and it says HD not recognized when its connected and was working for the past 6 months. help me please
 
You could plug the drive into another computer either internally or via an enclosure, and get the files off with little difficulty.

Is your XP disk scratched and can't copy the file, or does another error occur?

 
if you have drives in the same system, you can try a linux live cd and get your data off that way as well.
