Why does NEC put those glassy fronts on their LCDs? Seems to me a GLARING error!
 
Huh? Glass? Which Model?

I'm using NEC 1760NX, doesn't have an extra glass in front of the panel ..
 
No glass on the 1860NX either.. Just plastic that scratches easy...
 
1765 has glass over the panel. I thought it looked nice but the glare was unbareable
 
I think the 1765 is the Best Buy idiot proof LCD. With the glass screen on there, it makes it harder to damage the screen by small children or dumb adults who think they can poke away at it like its a CRT! My wife got a big warning to never touch the LCD, as she used to poke away at it all the time to show things to people.
