Does anyone have any idea what the bolded part means? I mean, the monitor just came out and there's a note saying it has been discontinued? That makes no sense to me unless there is a fatal flaw in the monitor and they're all being recalled. Travbomb? Any clues?

I find that very hard to beleive,as I am sure tftcentral and behardware would have mentioned it on the front pages of theier websites.

It's not discontinued. My guess is CDW put that on there out of frustration for the fact that they arent getting any product until the end of April at the earliest due to large customer requirements.
