Nice. It's just 100 less than the 26 though I think. Do any NEC's pivot?
Only 1 DVI input? A bit disappointing for a monitor at this pricepoint and in this day and age of multi-DVI LCDs. I think the 2690 is more than $100 more though, right?

That's why you wait my man. Be patient and eventually it will hit your price point. But I dare say that the NEC is better than your Acer and for some people, quality has no price limit.1500? wtf? I got my 24" acer for 550 ffs that's crazy.
It may drop, but I highly doubt that NEC is going to hit the $550 price point. That's why you wait my man. Be patient and eventually it will hit your price point. But I dare say that the NEC is better than your Acer and for some people, quality has no price limit.
My 2690 was $1551 before shipping - $148 under MSRP. $1499 is full MSRP for the 2490. Wait until some stock is actually out there and those prices ought to drop considerably.
Considerably !? I dont think so..... 999 $ is as high as I will go for a 24" LCD.I dont think we will be seeing the 2490 at that price point any time soon(like this year) Thats what the NEC 24WMGX2 is for? is it not? But Trav said we wouldn't see that untill late 2007 !![]()
So who cares, and on that note, why bother introducing a LCD in the 24" market space a near year before, when the competition has so many other models out and about in the retail channel....
I hear ya, but the problem is, there are NO reviews of this particular model. There are a couple of reviews of the 2690, but none for the 2490. Perhaps you should buy and be the first?A post like this is worthless with a linky to the hardware dude. Now i gotta open my fav box and click on newegg and search for it.... Anyone feeelin me?![]()
