Hi everyone!

I was wondering if anyone had any tips or guide on how to remove the control panel from the NEC 2470WNX monitor. I have three of these set up in Surround Portrait mode, and while everything is working out great, the control panel leaves a gap between the already thick bezels.

I saw this post in the NEC sale thread:

I tried removing the same two screws that were mentioned but my panel is not falling out as the post above describes. In fact, using force to try to remove it has revealed that it looks like there is more plastic that is wedged inside the bezel to prevent the control panel from being taken out. :(

If anyone has any insight on how to remedy this I would love to hear your input. Thanks for your time!

Why not just remove ALL the plastic casing, and remount the monitors in their metal cases. You'll get even thinner bezels then. :)

I have no idea how to do that. :(

I've looked all around the monitor, and the only two screws that I can even see are the ones that are supposed to be holding down the control panel. It appears the entire plastic housing is snapped together as the only real seam that I can see runs along the outside edges. I've even tried searching for schematics and CAD drawings of the assembly entirely removed, but no luck there either.

To be honest, the bezels don't really bother me. It's the gap between the bezels that kills me.
