Where should I look to disable NCQ.
or
If I use windows drivers do I even have to worry about it.
Reason I ask. My brand new Raptor 150 died after 1 week. First it dissapeared. Bios tells me boot disc is missing insert disc and hit any key. Reboot a few times and finally bios sees it but says the drive is about to fail and back up my stuff immediately but wouldn't completely boot till I took the drive all the way out.
Just found some stuff recently about NCQ enabled sata drives doing the same thing (Maxtor).
Should I have SMART enabled with this drive? It was kinda cool with speedfan cause I could see the temperature. Can it cause problems?
