Hi,

Been trying to setup a small office shared pc setup using L300 Ncomputing thin clients on a Dell Inspiron i5 4460 PC with 12 gb of ram. Problem is as soon as the terminal connects to vSpace I get a notification that Windows 7 is install usb virtualized usb hub drivers and then locks the system up trying to install UTMA Bus driver. My guess is theres some sort of a resource conflict. Anyone experience this?

Thanks!

Well I've configured only vspace on lg terminals/monitors. I've got many problems with it.
OS Was Server 2008R2 Standard with ~25CALs
nComputing doesn't require Server OS instead of client os for vspace ?
Have you looked fot updated version of the vspace on the ncomputing homepage?
At least in case of those LG Monitors - there is no suport from ncomputing whatsoever right now.

Hi,

I got it working sort of by disabling USB support such that it no longer tries to install usb virtual drivers that crash the system. Got it working on Windows 7 Pro 64. Anyone have stability issues I recommend they do the same. Yes its the latest from the nComputing website. Very disappointing they haven't updated the firmware in a couple years and they still sell this product.

Thanks

You can get the newer version from them. Newer vspace for multi session requires server os, RDS, and licensing roles.

The vSpace server software. I installed it on a 2008r2 and 20012r2. It enables the RDS/Terminal server roles and wants licensing.

I thought they migrated the vspace management server to a Linux vm? You can download from their website and import into VMware, etc....

Not a fix for your problem but we've had a lot of experience with nComputing units. We ended up having to go through and replace them all with HP Smart Zero clients. If you're just in the eval stage of this project, I highly recommend you take a look at the HPs instead.
