I was stupid and didn't research it before I bought a 780i board to replace my dead 680i and realized my chipset waterblock isn't compatible. I am planning on OCing my e6600 to 3.3 like I had it...am I going to have to shell out the $$ for a new waterblock or will the stock heatsink work? It looks like a nice heatsink...and I have a fan directly on it. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Watercooling the NB is done most often for looks. From what i've read the 780i doesnt suffer from the heat problems like the 680i did. IMO a fan on it will do just fine.
