Hi Guys,

In napp-it there's a menu option to create a volume lu from a snapshot. I have tried this several times but I never succeeded. Is there any prerequisite for this or should it just work.
I always get the error : "Error creating sbdadm: data file error".

Os= OI (a5)
Napp-it version 7

Regards,

Randy

other option:
- clone the snap (it is then a regular ZFS with R/W access)
- import a file or volume based LU from the clone

Thanx.
Is it even possible to create a volume lu from a snapshot (since a snapshot is readonly )? Haven't found any documentation about this.

I would say: not possible
(I have removed this irregular option from napp-it menu create volumebased LU)
