This will be my second all in one system. My first one I followed the parts Gea suggested to a tee and the system has been awesome the entire time. I have outgrown the original system and am going to build a second.

The parts I have chosen are:
SUPERMICRO MBD-X10SLH-F-O
Intel Xeon E3-1225V3
Corsair Nova Series 2 CSSD-V30GB2A 2.5" 30GB
CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W
2x M1015 (already flashed)
10x Seagate 3TB

You might have noticed I didnt list the ram. This is where I get confused. Supermicro lists 2 options for ram they tested as working on their website which are:
http://www.amazon.com/8GB-DDR3-SDRAM-Memory-Module/dp/B00910CBOS
http://www.amazon.com/Supermicro-MEM-DR380L-HL01-EU16-Memory-DDR3-1600MHz-Un-Buffered/dp/B00A6GIFZA

Are those the prices for a single stick of ram? That seems awfully expensive. I wanna say I spent that much for 16G on my first setup. I was hoping to get 16G to start here too. Do I have to use that specific ram or is there a cheaper solution? Can I get away with:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820239275

I start getting confused as to wether I need registered ECC or unbuffered as the descriptions for the samesung and hynix sticks are kind of different.

My other question is the hardward should be fine right? Its a little newer than what Gea suggested in his all in one guide but there is drivers for the i210 lan ports so I dont see why I would have any problems with this setup.

Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read and especially anyone who replies!

Have you tried crucial ram? Has worked fine for me, and they have a wizard on their site where you can literally pull down the exact motherboard you have in a menu and it will tell you a list of sticks...

thanks for the replies guys. went with crucial, i feel silly for not thinking of doing that in the first place. search for the board and esxi led me to a thread Gea was talking about a similar board working well for the all in one setup.

Yeah Crucial or Kingston should be good choices for the RAM.
I'd also recommend checking up on that CPU and what the motherboard supports with it. That model CPU has the integrated GPU, but I'm not sure if it can be used for anything on that board.
