Anyone know when this form factor will actually be produced and available? Also, if you have any links for really small webservers, either special purpose, or general computers that have been shrunk into a small case/form factor that would be great. Thanks!

Since you're asking, you've probably already seen this, but mini-itx.com has a lot on this kind of thing, and some of their worklogs are on server type things. Go here.

Yeah, I've been to mini-itx.com, but it's been a while since they've discussed the Nano-ITX form factor. I thought it was supposed to be launched a couple of months ago. The size difference between 17cm2 & 12cm2 is huge. Plus the Nano-ITX uses the CN400 chipset instead of the older CLE266.

didnt someone sell a board like that? (120mm square)

In fs/ft maybe sixmonths back, I believe.

i e-mailed Via a few days ago asking for a very tenative release date. What are the chances they will reply

Doubtful, any large company just forgets about the end consumer, as long as channel partners are happy, they are happy.

willsy - thanks for the link, too bad that it's gonna be so long. I wanted to build a really small webserver using a 2.5" HDD, etc, but I guess I'll just have to use Mini-ITX.

Yeah I'm waiting for that nano-ITX too...Saw that mb at Quakecon and I was sold. Something was telling me to make a carPC for the new 4runner...

A while back i did some searching and found a place that had it for a rediculous price.
