forgive me, but could someone point me in the direction of some release information about nano itx, and release. I see some cases are already being made, just wondering when we could see some good HTPC's... thanksin advance!
 
Those specs have been out for quite a while but the boards haven't been released yet. AFAIK they are expected late this year but no official release date.
 
the nano-itx boards have been constantly delayed for a year or two now.. don't get your hopes up lol. check www.mini-itx.com for any nano/mini-itx info.
 
I'm really hoping for those to come out soon as they would make a great small footprint server.
 
these boards will probably never come to market. IMHO the specs and pre-production boards they are showing off are being used as "proof of concept" for embedded systems manufacturers.
 
Ya I agree. You can find nano-itx boards or EMS(???) sized boards now, but there is not going to be much demand for them from a systems designer's point of view. A centimeter narrower and you are obligated to sacrifice the sole expansion port and probably the mem slot. Getting shorter is doable, but still limited.
 
End of 2005 is the last date I heard for the Nano-ITX and the Dual Processor Mini-ITX.

Of course, that date changes every quarter.
