Ok this is the list of the parts that i bought (it was a kit i bought off the FS/FT forum).

NONE of it was used
DTek White Water Aluminum Topped Intel P4 Water Block
Dtek Chipset Water Block
Black Ice Extreme Radiator (for 120mm fan)
Hydor L30 320 GPH Pump
DTek Bay Reservoir, Clear
Dtek Delay Timer Kit
Cooltechnica Pump Relay Switch Kit
Clearflex 60 Premium tubing, 1/2", 15ft
Double Snap-grip hose clamps, qty 15
"T" for tubing, 1/2", qty 2
90 degree elbows for tubing, 1/2", qty 4
Swiftech 1/2" OD to 1/2" ID tubing adapters, qty 2
Zerex Racing Super Coolant, 12oz bottle
Dye-Lite UV Water Dye
120mm Panaflow Low speed fan for rad

Heres what i know:

1. use distilled water...not tap

2. Test loop before installing for leaks and presure

3. make sure there are no bubbles in the loop

the rest will be added as i get help
Heres the questions i have:

1. with the CPU block...theres 3 barbs....where does the hoses go for them barbs?

2. how should i set the loop up? like Pump --> CPU --> rad --> res? (im not going to use the chipset block)

3. i dont think that 12oz of coolant is going to be enough for the whole loop.....should i delute it?

4. How to you tell the flow...and which way should the water/coolant flow?

5. How do i know if i have sufficient pressure in my loop?

5. is there anything else that i should know?

Ive got a test system that ive built from cheap parts so if i mess something up....im not destroying my rig :)

Any help would be very apriciated :):)

Thanks in advance, Harley

1. with the CPU block...theres 3 barbs....where does the hoses go for them barbs?

Ummm, the two outer barbs should be connected with a T line, and connected, in series, to the rest of your loop.

2. how should i set the loop up? like Pump --> CPU --> rad --> res? (im not going to use the chipset block)

It really doesn't matter. Just use the least amount of tubing possible.

3. i dont think that 12oz of coolant is going to be enough for the whole loop.....should i delute it?

Yes! You should use a 2:8 concentration of coolant to distilled water. 20% Coolant, 80% water! However, I don't recommend using Zerex... I'd use pentosin instead. Jab-tech.com has pentosin in 4oz bottles (which will make 20-30oz of actual water cooling solution) for about 4$.

4. How to you tell the flow...and which way should the water/coolant flow?

Doesn't matter. Just make sure that the water is flowing in the CPU middle barb, and out the side barbs. Any other connection is a non-issue. Generally, the top barb on a pump, is the out barb. The side barb is the intake.

5. How do i know if i have sufficient pressure in my loop?

Pressure is not an important factor in the loop. Don't worry about pressure. There's actually very little of it.

Definitely don't use Zerex, it will cloud up in less than a month.

Compared to Zerex, my Dexcool anti-freeze loop is over a year old, and it's still not as cloudy as Zerex was after a month.

OK cool....ill make sure to order some of that coolant....the zerex was just want was included

.....so with the CPU block....do you mean something like this: (im not the best in paint lol)

If so then i can do that :)

Thanks for the replys.....is there anything i should change component wise?

Thanks, Harley
