Okay, first off a bit of info.. Am trying to mount a DD Maze4 on an Abit NF7-S, originally bought all of the WC stuff before anything else...Got it with the hold down bracket, but realized that when i got my NF7-S that it has screw holes to mount. So off came the hold down Bracket, out came out some bolts from the HD.. Question is when i bolt it down the little "notch" in the socket "A" tab doesnt quite sit flush, it this common? i know the core is getting good contact from the artic silver 5 leaving a core print in the base of the WB.

Any info will be a great help. :)

I had the exact same problem. You can't get the lever on the ZIF socket down all the way because one of the mounting holes is in the way. Get the CPU in, secure it down with the lever, then put your screws and bolts in.

Sorry if I'm visualing your problem wrong, but that's the problem I had on a socket A Maze4

The ZIF socket is down, and there is contact with the core, but there seems to be a gap about the width of a buisness card all around the bas of the socket and the base of the waterblock...Hope this clears up any confusion, and is this normal as for this is my first jump into watercooling... As for the rest of the WC set up, it is a eheim 1250 pump, cc relay card rev. ii, 1/2 od tubing, black ice rad, (single 120mm fan) and a res.

Okay, I think I know what you're saying. You could tighten things down more (if possible) or as it is I think you have good contact. On mine I can't crank it down the entire way, you're probably fine.
