I miss the adventure and puzzle type games. For what seems like forever all they pump out are war games, space games, zombie games ... geesh surely someone out there has to be a creative type that can put out adventure/puzzle Myst type PC games once again only with today graphics - would be very nice I would think.

What do you think about this game type?

wow, I had no idea they re-did the Myst series with more to come. Thanks for the links everyone

I also thought there was another entry on the way or something, I could be mistaking that with the VR one though. I never did finish IV... or try V

The 13th Doll should be out fairly soon.

OMG I remember Myst! Think it was around 98-99 right? I really liked that game. I agree enough with all the FPS games, and we need some triple A titles for adventure games.

If you're not very firm on graphics, I'd suggest Syberia series.

played them both, graphics were pretty good I though so anyways.

I'd rather have 'good' graphics with a great storyline than great graphics with a poor storyline (the latter seems to be the case the past year or so)

Neat!
Yeah, have played only a little for past a year or so, but you're right on point with poor storyline games, especially amongst AAA titles. Fancy graphics, good gameplay, but an absolutely abysmal story and whatever comes from it.

Mid 90’s I think. Robyn and Rand Miller were regulars on Compuserve.

I remember them talking about having a farm of 40 Mac Quadra 840av’s running at once rendering the graphics for MYST.

Btw.. that’s $120,000 worth of Macs if your’re keeping score.

If you can let the graphics part down, Grab up The Longest Journey, and Dreamfall. No idea about chapters, but those two are pretty well-regarded adventure games. I bought a copy of TLJ in 99 and still fire it up every year or two because it has great voice acting, music, art, and an amazing story. it's good to get lost sometimes.

Siberia is a great adventure game with a solid story line.

Seconded on Siberia (Syberia?) and The Longest Journey games, they are both awesome, and just strange enough to no get boring. And I happened upon RiMe this weekend, it's go an interesting ICO/Zelda vibe to it and an … interesting story. Don't want to spoil it, but it you can get the feels in a game, prepare to get all of the feels.
