The parent company of MySpace has announced that it will acquire Photobucket for an undisclosed amount of money. Details of the deal have not been released.

MySpace's parent, News Corp.'s Fox Interactive Media, agreed to acquire popular photo sharing site Photobucket Inc. just weeks after a public spat in which MySpace partially blocked content from Photobucket.

Yay another company going down the drain.

Rather than join them, let's swallow them whole; typical corporate America. Up yours Rupert. Oh, well, I generally use Image Shack over PB anyway.

I also use image shack. Fox News is going to be the L337 masters of the internet... lolocakes

I typically use Hidebehind , it was only a matter of time before photobucket got bought out by Myspace and Rupert.

Soon its going to have pink text, lots of ads and horrible moving things just like myspace.

with ads that when you mouse over they go "HELLOOOOOoOOoO?, SAY SOMETHING!, WOT!?"

I sincerely hope News Corps doesn't change PhotoBucket into a worthless piece of work like Image Shack is. A major majority of the time I can't view any IS images people host or the picture doesn't display in it's entirety. Their pop-ups/pop-overs are just outright annoying with all those data gathering ads they use. "Win a iPOD!" "Get a Playstation 3!". Photobucket didn't, and still doesn't, have those inconsistencies which is why I subscribed to them.
