my wc setup is leaking

i built my wc setup about...4-5 months ago. i slowly started seeing a bubble forming in my rez over the last 2 months. finally last week i filled it up again. i checked my computer for any sign of water residue/coolant and there was none. if it was a leak its too small to notice i guess. i double checked my connections and everything seemed fine. i did notice some scale on my rad around where the elbow connection's are. could that be where im loosing my coolant? im using the ehh... i dont know what their called, you push the tube inside the connector and pins hold it in place. my brain is scattered at the moment. if you understand what im talking about, can i loose liquid from there aswell?

That is a push-fit connector. Not likely it is leaking providing you stuck it in all the way and have a nice straight cut.

very intresting. how could i be loosing coolant then? if its not those then i suppose its probably from the rad. im gonna inspect the rad tomorrow, just for the heck of it. thanks for your reply ^_^

It's most likely that the bubbles have worked themselves loose from being trapped in the rad, blocks and as micro bubbles adhered to the walls of your tubing and have collected in your res as they're supposed to.

After you've topped it up (as you've already done) keep an eye on it for a while, but, as you've already checked it and found no water I doubt you'll see any more drop in level.

What's happening is simple Permeation. It happpens to all systems over time regardless of what tubing you're using. Some types lead to faster or slower Permeation, but it happens to all of them.
