Hello,

This is pissingme off.. my laptop is gay.. if i want to use a USB device.. say a floppy drive.. i have to restart the computer to get it to work.. like if i just plug it in.. it doesn't work right away... i tried it on my desktop.. and my desktop recognizes the floppy right away..

what's the deal Mc Neil?..

specz of laptop? if it is usb 2.0 and you have windows xp you NEED sp1 or some specialized third party usb 2 drivers for it to be hot swapable, i had the same issue on my toshiba laptop running xp pro before upgrading to sp1

I'd have to look into that tomorrow.. cause right now i'm soo tired.. just finished taking an exam.. but for starters i have SP2 installed on the laptop
