My mom told me just now that my Uncle is back in the hospital as of yesterday and he's struggling to breathe last night and apparently it has gone downhill fast and hard today. What doctors had said was that if it's more cancer then it's not going to be good, but if it's pneumonia then hopefully that it'll be treated for as soon as possible as to keep him in a better shape.

Just thought I'll share something to remind us why we're doing this F@H project. It's for the cure and the greater good. Fold on, I'll be sure to update this as I know more. He's currently stationed in Spokane, Washington. I'm still talking with my mom at this moment through texting.

Just remember why we fold.

EDIT: If anybody is within the area near Spokane, I would love to ask for a favor as seeing that I'm in New York right now. This favor would be if anybody could go and visit him and let him know that he's not all alone in this fight. He's seriously thinking of giving up, I know it's hard for me to even say this but I might will not be able to see him again. It would do me and his family a great if somebody could drop by and just let him know that we as a community are doing what we can to help. Thanks, if anybody can - please pm me for details.

I just went through this with my closest Uncle in May. Died of liver cancer. It's a tough time man, my thoughts are with you.

It's why I've started folding as well, stuff like that really gets you thinking.

Best to you during this difficult period.
 
Glad you told the story, i know alot of people doubt the folding at home and would rather look for aliens, but when something hits close to home it changed ones mentality instantly.

My uncle has been getting better in the last few days, getting his color back and weight back up. But this morning at 530a he passed away.
