I've had the case sitting around for about a week now, i was originally going to drop in some new parts, but i now have to spend that money on some plane tickets to see my little brothers Bootcamp Graduation. So i decided to throw my current system in there even though its kinda outdated. Sorry about some of these pics, i just got the camera and was learning how to use it. ALso i am kinda a noob to hiding the wires, and it took me all day Saturday, and this morning to finish it up.
Specs:
Abit Av8
AMD 4200+ x2
x800pro
1gb Kingston DDR
El Cheapo 4x Sata RAID controller
Hauppauge 500 PVR
I had a spare 400W PSU laying around and since the case can hold 2 PSU's i decided to cut off all the extra wires, pretty much all of them except the 4 pin connectors. Then I bought like $90 worth of PSU modding supplies and got the idea to sleeve it myself. Bad idea, i do not have the time or patients to sleeve a PSU. I got pissed when i couldnt get off some of the connectors, so i just wrapped the whole dame thing in electrical tape:
I had all the fans, that extra PSU, and the fan controllers already in there. The fan controllers i got off of MountainMod's web site are the worst i have ever used. They offer no adjustment, the fans are off or 100%. The Chrome adjustment knobs are impossible to turn since there is nothing to get ahold of.
Here are the parts:
I cut off all the black zip ties, and put on some UV blue ones, all together there are 40-50 zip ties on there now, to help control the wires, since i am not skilled enough to sleeve it
The fan controllers each had a hook up for a single 4 pin molex. Then it had a wireing harness that had 4 more 4 pin molex connections. Each fan came with a 3 pin to 4 pin converter, so i cut off the 4 pin molex connections on the wireing harness of the controller, and wired in the converters. I'm really still a noob and its hard for me to explain it, but i'm sure you all know what i'm doing here:
Then i started to throw everything in, and try and hide the cables as much as possible, i hope i make you all proud
