Bought it today, why my TwinX 1024-4400PT detected as:

I would not worry about it...My Corsair PC3700 shows up as PC3500...Go figure :)
 
it can't even run @275mhz 3-4-4-8 as that was the recomended settings on stickers...
should I RMA my memory?

If it doesn't run at stock, then absolutely RMA. The 4x512 XMS4400C2 that I have all read as pc3200 2.5-3-3-7, IIRC. They reun fine at 300+ 2.5-4-4-8
