Hello i was wondering if anyone could help me with tweaking my system some more for a higher score ;)
I have a PCI-E x800XT 256 and a p3.0 with 1 gig of PC4400 ram. Winxp. Problem is,its a dell. it was either a dell or nothing.....so i went with dell.
i have i925 chisppset...probally upgrading or going with a diff set would help....but i cant find any since its so new.
 
unfortunately you cant do to much with Dells. The BIOS is preatty thin on what you can do. There is by no means any tweaking options in the Dell BIOS. There is, as far as I know, absolutely no way to OC the CPU with a Dell. The only thing you can OC is the video card with something like Riva Tuner or ATI Tool.
 
your best bet is to try rivatuner and clockgen, but BlackViper has a site where you can adjust windows for performance, so try that also
 
ya i know the bios is fubared,but what about chipset driver updates...cant i use some other i925x chipset driver and just plaster it onto this comp,i heard you could do that when companies make "Clone boards"
is that a option?

i thought dell's shipped their computers out with weird PSU that would fry normal mobos
