can anyone with the following system:
athlon 64 cpu
6800gt (370/100), with name of driver
1024 ram (name speeds please)
Please tell me what did you get on the cs:s video stress test with everything maxed out (with reflect world option) at 4xaa and 8xaf?
I seriously feel that my system is severely crippled by my motherboard.
I got an fps of 81 with the options above with the 66.81 whql drivers, but i've seen some ppl get like 88. Please post if you have this systec spec!!!

"1 gb pc2700 crucial ram"? PC2700? Crucial? I don't even want to know the timings on that stuff, talk about a bottleneck!

Why not ditch the mobo and get something decent? If you have an Antec 430 PSU, it can't be in an HP case unless you did modding or HP changed case designs.

Of course it is not at its full potential. First of all you have a crappy no name mobo just dying to be destroyed and you have pc2700 memory... Why would you expect to get the same FPS as someone with a higher performing setup?

well when i put in the 6800gt:
-the original psu was 250w, so I had to bend some metal to get the 430 in there
-I then had to get a gig of ram, back then I didn't know any better on the models and speed of ram
-I then had to drill some holes so the 6800gt doesn't do 71c idle, since hp cases are notorius for bad airflow

I increased by fsb from 600 mhz to 621 and changedd mem timing to 2-3-3-5. I get 93 with the setting I first posted for cs:source now

soo.........better mem I guess?
and what mb to get? dfi?

what resolution is this at? i get 85 with my 6800ultra @ 1600x1200 max aa and af all on high settings.. so ur should be right.

1280 by 1024..........holy crap is that a stock system you got the score on?

whoaaaaa..... I just got 106 fps on 1600x1200 at max settings with 6xaa and 16xaf by overclocking my vid card to stock ultra.

6aa is broken with Nvidia cards. Try 4aa, trust me the numbers will be MUCH lower :D

yeah these are stock.. my ultra came stock at 425/1100 though and i run it at 1600x1200 in the control panel it is set to "quality" 16af and 4xaa and in cs:s i put everything maxed out as much as possible like reflections on all and high on everything at 1600x1200 and get 85 fps.. wut drivers are u using ? cause 81 fps@1280 by 1024 is pretty low dude.. here hold on let me run at that res really quick and see wut i get .... ticktock-ticktock..

ok done it's 103.11fps @ 1280x1024.....
max everything.... and o yeah do u have v sync off? might be the problem...

and sorry to burst ur bubbles but nvidia currently don't support 6xAA so when u put it on 6xaa it doesn't use AA at ALL... so ur running it @ 1280x1024 16x af "0x aa" and max settings......
