Ok, here is the deal. I rinsed off the outside of my radiator with tap water. I didn't think much about it because it was the outside. However, I didn't realize that it would hold so much water between the fins (silly surface tension, arr!). I didn't realize that it would be such a big deal until after I let it dry and found that the bottom side (from the way it was laying) has what appears to be lime deposits formed in there. Not good. And much of it I can't even get at to scrub out because of the way the screw holes are located (it's one of the 120mm sized ones, danger den I believe).
So what can I do? I searched the forum and saw someone mention having it "boiled clean" at a radiator shop, would that affect the paint? Anything I can do myself? Maybe some de-limer or something? Any thoughts?
