i got my primary loop plumbed up.

I kinda did what I usually do and forgot to take pictures along the way... anyway... i took delivery of my new HE120.2 rad.. I can't fit a PA120.2 in there as it's too thick!

Anyway, it's got zerex in it and that's what make the purple colour... kinda funky tbh.

So, are you going to have a large bore and a small bore loop in that system?

Great job! I like the pinkish purpleish color...different from the same ole green!

yeah.. large bore for the CPU, small bore for everything else.

People tend to just look at the pweetty pictures and skim over the words! :rolleyes: I have a habit of doing that too! :p
 
so....what is that mystery sideways block in the first and third pic? it kind of looks like it might be on one row of your CPU mosfets.

i hope that you have good results with your CPU loop.

i also hope that you find the hidden gold in your small bore loop that accounts for the price tag. :)

It is the MIPS DFI MOSFET lanparty Freezer block.

Looks like it fits snuggly too did you have to force it at all? When I tested it I noticed one of my MOSFET sinks was soldered on at a slight angle so it looked like I would need to bend some fins or shove the sucker on...

Thats what Zerex does before all the air completely bleeds out. When I did mine it looked just like Pepto Bismol. Couple drops of blue food coloring later and it didnt anymore

It doesn't fit all the way down... there is about 2-3mm that won't travel anymore without some serious force... i'm not ready to force it that much at the mo' but it covers most of it anyway!

2-3mm isn't going to make that much of a difference in heat transfer properties. Did you use any sort of thermal paste inbetween the two sinks?

LOL, at least you understood my double-entendre.
