My sound 0\/\/n3|)...help?

The sound (intel 83801 ICH5 - AC' 97) on my computer is screwed up...BAD! i know its a piece but its a store bought comp that my parents got. I dont know what's wrong with it. I think it's the driver, but i cant find the driver any where.

ok I found all this motherboard stuff. Here it is, Motherboard ID 63-0314-000001-00101111-090403-SPDALE_G$PSLA1069
Motherboard Name Asus P4SD-LA

The only Intel product with the 83801 number on it I could find is networking related, not a motherboard.
Look again for the model number of the motherboard.

What brand computer is it? If it is a major brand, check their website for drivers.

Can't find it on Asus' site, it appears to be an HP OEM board.
Okay, found it here by using my secret n1nj4 search engine techniques, which I have vowed never to reveal to anyone outside of the clan. Lucky for you I have a soft spot for shaved bunnies.

It's using the Realtek ALC650 CODEC for audio according to those apparently knowledgable folks who built your computer. This means you should download and install THIS DRIVER PACKAGE, or pick another server from the page
