Up until last night I've always used the graphical client, but you guys were saying how the smp puts out quite a bit more so i upgraded to that. Got it installed and everything fine, didn't install as a service though. Now when it's running it just sits there saying working, but my cpu usage on both cores is generally ~1%. Pretty sure that's not right. Any thoughts on why it's not doing anything?

Try a reboot to see if that clears the blockage up.

Also check you firewall/anti-virus is not blocking anything.
Which ones are you useing ?

Luck ............ :D

Sooo, I had a bit of an issue the other night (forgot to reconnect the fan for the cpu heatsink xP) and the computer restarted itself. Now I can't run fah. When I get it going, it always tell me MISSING_WORK_FILES. If I try to uninstall it tells me there's no log file.

Folding@Home Client Shutdown.

The 8 improper terminations is (I think) from the computer restarting itself while I was away.

The 8 consecutive terminations is just a cosmetic bug (each time you shut down, it count 4 threads as 4 terminations so doing that 2x will make this message appear). It's meaningless.

However, if it's missing files, it mean that some files got destroyed when it restarted so it cannot continue. Just leave as is and it will download a new WU by itself.

The quick fix is to just delete the work folder and the queue.dat file.
This forces the client to download a different work unit.
If you just delete the work folder you tend to redownload the same work unit that failed.

Luck ........... :D
