Hey [H]ard members, I've been lurking on these forums for over 4 years now, and I've put off building a shuttle for nearly 3 years! So now I have to catch up with all the SFF action!
Well, my 12.1" m1210 laptop is driving me nuts. I travel a whole bunch, so I decided a shuttle was perfect for me.
SG33G5 Shuttle Box - For travel/coding/web browsing/developing - eventually will be used for playing games (CoD4, Crysis dx9, perhaps dx10)
Motherboard: Shuttle XPC SG33G5B - Motherboard
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6550/E6750/E8200/E8400 <- Possibly waiting till Jan 2008
CPU HSF: Shuttle XPC SG33G5B - HSF
RAM: Corsair Twin2X2048-6400C4; 4-4-4-12
GPU: Intel GMA 3100 (eventually will put in a 8800GT 512MB)
Sound Card: Shuttle XPC SG33G5B - Onboard
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB SATA 3.0Gb/s - OEM
Media Drive: Lite-On Black 20x DVDRW w/ LightScribe - OEM
PSU: Shuttle XPC SG33G5B - 250W PSU
Case: Shuttle XPC SG33G5B - Case
Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista Business 64-bit
I'm doing less than $450 after rebates with no decision on the CPU. I'm just waiting for the right moment to purchase the CPU, and I think I'll be set!
Keep in mind, I want to keep the build under $700 if possible. I'm a poor college student who needs to pay his tuition.
Any input and feedback would be awesome!
