So the network card on my Shuttle has been giving me trouble for a while but I think it's finally starting to die completely. I currenty use my Shuttle (Sn25p) as a file server that runs Windows Home Server. The software has it's quirks but it's amazing when it works.
Anyway, the Shuttle is powered by an AMD 3700+ (939), 2GB DDR1, and 3 500GB HDDs, with a crap video card. Since I cant install a PCI network card (Shuttle only has 2 PCIe slots... very annoying) and I'm out of drive bays, I need to ditch this machine.
Just wondering what I should do to spend the least amount of money (trying to save for a Macbook/MB Pro). Some cheap build suggestions would be great. This PC will most likely be sitting on a floor acting as a file/ghetto media server for when I want to watch some movies on my HTPC.
