Total system has 2 non-tiny fans... one in the psu (8cm), one in the btx type II thermal module that comes with the intel cpu (7cm). (tiny fans suck: break easy and inneficient in airflow vs noise)


still deciding on memory..

that is the only conroe cpu at retail available with Type II BTX thermal module intel retail. 3rd party modules can be loud and lower quality.. but if ur creative u can take that module and switch the cpu with someone for a 6600 (pay for diff)... which is what i plan to do...

i wish i could find this stuff at a better retailer... but page computers seem to have it all in stock... newegg and zipzoom dont seem to be into btx these days..

but if u can find a smaller system with these features and performance with less noise please tell me about it.

Where will you fit in all the hard drives? I only see room for 1 3.5 in HDD on the case specs....

i will only use 1 hard drive. and 1 dvd+-rw

i have used btx many times, usually type 1... they are great, no tiny fans, and the cpu gets fresh air from outside the case...

most people who dont like btx bought a 3rd party cooler which is not quiet.
