I'm experiencing a strange issue with my newly installed Powercolor 5870s liquid-cooled. Whenever I am in 2d mode and there is a graphical change (e.g., I move windows, I open a new IE browser, a Flash item starts) the screen "shakes". I'm not sure how to describe it better than that: the display momentarily budges a couple of centimeters on the screen then centers back to normal.
When I'm in games (Crysis, Fear 2, Overlord), everthing is smooth. I've also tried several passes of Vantage and everything runs fine, both with a single card and in Crossfire. However, again, when there's a 2d screen e.g. loading the screen shakes. I've also OC'ed to as high as Catalyst allows and 3d games still work perfectly. I'm sure it's not my monitor since it works perfectly with everything else.
I've attempted the following with no resolution:
Any ideas?
On a bright note, my cards are running an icey cool 42c idle/59c load

I've attempted the following with no resolution:
- Switching between single card and Crossfire
- Changing resolutions (2560x1600, 1900x1200, 1650x1080)
- Ensured my DVI cable is secure between card-monitor
- Switching PCI-E power cords between the cards
- Switcing the DVI cord to another DVI port on the cards.
- Changing the two "DVI reduction/enhancement" options in Catalyst
- Reinstalling Catalyst 9.11
Any ideas?
