Silverstone has a great case in the TJ07 but it doesn't do well with the quiet side of things by itself.

I settled for a Tuniq heatskink and stock fans for a while but the noise was very noticeable. Not to mention the BFG OC 8800 GTX

Here is an old pic:

I was replacing my motherboard so I figured this was a perfect opportunity to quiet this sucker down.

First was to remove all the SilverStone fans with Nexus. I used the rubber mountings whenever possible.

Second was to replace the CPU heatsink with a Thermalright 120 Extreme.

Next was to replace the video card heatsink.

Then the hard drives I decided to suspend because the enclosures sounded like tuning forks.

The problem was the area above the drives had no mounting holes or obvious brackets to attach so its cable ties to the rescue! The loops in the front were for the 120mm fans to cool the drives

Since its passive cooling the overclocking isn't huge but its decent.

What sort of software are you using to manage temps and fans? I am about to swap out the heatsink on my system and looking for a better way to keep tabs on the system.
