Here are some pics of my pre modded aspire x-alien case, i am very happy with it so far and i have several plans for the future. First i plan to put a window in the top of the case and make room for 2 80 mm fans instead of just one, also i may do something about the excess of harddrive trays considering i use only one slot.

AH! Mod that red thing on the front, it doesn't match the rest of the case. Case looks clean though.
 
im defanitly not getting red fans, i really like the green. I would like to do soemthing with the red part im jsut not sure what to do with it yet.
 
Nice and clean in there.

Those eyes might look nice in a similiar green to the lights/fans.
 
I'd say it'd look better with the eyes on the front made green.....'cus I'm also a fan of either blue or green lighting. It would also look a lot more custom then just adding more/different lights.

Decent wiring BTW too.....props for that, what I can see anyways.

Yeah, I'm just not a big fan of those rotated hard drive cages, let's you see behind to where I keep all my "goodies". ;)

yeah, that's basically what I'd have to say too but I still give pre-mods credit for what they are. It might not be much, but it's something. ;)
 
about the premod, this is the first computer ive ever built and the case had everything i needed for my overclocking needs (6 80mm fans) 2500+ @ 2.2ghz

Yeah, they are very nice boxes for the kind of person who just wants a very functional, decent case.

Kudos on making a wise decision on a very decent pre-mod.
 
i just melted the plastic rivet things that held the red "eyes" on, it is now ready to get sprayed green once i make a trip to the local hobby shop. Also i just started drawing up a design for the top window of the case but im not sure what i want up there yet (probally some wavy tribal type thing)

I want the middle to look a little more like an iron cross and a little less like a batmat symbol, this is the rough idea. Feel free to comment on the design or post your own design.
 
ok later today i am going to the hobby shop to purchase some paint to paint the red "eyes" with. But i am having trouble deciding weather to go with a neon/toxic green or just black. Any sugestons?

I say green, it'll stand out more and match your lighting.

Kudos on going with this, I don't think I've ever seen anyone paint the eyes on their SuperAliens. I can't wait to see what she looks like.
 
Thanks for the support, and ill try and find a nice bright radioactive looking green, the hobby shop has spray paint of every color imaginable in those little cans that 45 year old men paint their rc cars with. :D

after a trip to the hobby shop and about 45 minutes in the back yard here are my results, a bezel to match the inside of my case. I still need to clear coat the front and paint the back black but you get the idea.

theres always something with you isnt there.... i dont mind it, i think it looks better than the square cutout with nothing in it. If i can find a cool case badge that goes with the case ill pop that in. Thanks for the positive comments
