I own a ThermalTake 480W PurePower powersupply. I was told by a few people that it's a piece of junk.

Is that true and should I upgrade to an Antec TruePower?

well its not total junk its not good either. I wouldnt put it in my system again. Been there, done that.

However, upgrading to an antec trupower would be almost pointless. If you are going to stick with that rig for a while, and are sure you won't be needing atx v2.0 for your mobo, then I would reccomend the pcp&c 425 deluxe. If you think you are going to upgrade shortly, I wuold go with a pcp&c 510 express or SLI, silenx 600w, or antec neopower (lower powered but more affordable)
