My planned WC setup

Hi. I will be putting together my first WC setup when I build my new rig over the next week or so. It will be a cpu loop to cool a q6600. Here are the parts I plan to buy form Petra's tech shop(only place that had the parts I wanted in stock-looks like a great store)

D-tek fuzion
Thermochill PA 120.2
1/2'' t fitting
worm drive clamps(of course)
DD fill port
DDC-T01s Custom DDC 1/2'' pump top

My first question is about the pump. I found the Swiftech MCP350 on newegg, and in the a guide I read it makes it look like it is the same thing as a DDC-2. I was wondering if this is the case and if I could use that custom 1/2'' top with it.

My next question is about the thermochill. As much as I hear about these rads, I was surprised that they are in 3/8''(or maybe that is more common, but I get the impression it is not). I was wondering how I can fix this problem. Will the "Thermochill 1/2IN Chrome Plated Barb Fitting G3/8 Threads" from NCIXUS work? I plan to buy the tygon somewhere else as it's out of stick at Petra's.

My last question is about the case I plan to be putting this into. right now I am looking at a Thermaltake Armor Series VA8000BWS. I was wondering if the loop should fit in that okay. I have never used a Dremel, and I would prefer to just be able to Velcro/zip tie the parts in. If this case is not the best, are there some good cases that are sub-$100 which would fit a loop like this while still looking okay(for example, not just a bland huge server case)? I'm willing to spend up to $150 on a case if I need to...just want to avoid having to dremel/mod anything to fit the loop in. Thanks for your help, these forums are a great place to ask questions.

So when websites list it as a 3/8 fitting it does not mean a 3/8 tube size? I was kind of confused that as popular as thermochill rads are, they would require a 3/8 tube. So G3/8 will work with 1/2 tubing? I noticed now that on the website page at Ptera's,it says "G3/8,supports all hose sizes"It then says it comes with clear plastic barbs...are those the 1/2 you got with yours? I think I may go with the others because I have heard bad things about plastic barbs. I'm also still not sure if the MCP350 is the same as the DDC-2 so I could use that custom 1/2 top.

Not sure on the MCP sorry.

Im confused ont hese barbs now as well they don't look 1/2 inch to me...

However G3/8 is the threads not the size of the barb. I got mine from Sidewinder and used black plastic barbs from their website for now. I also have some clear plastic ones that came with my old PA 120.2 I'll compare them tonight with pics.

Just saw on Ptera's site that the DDC-2 is the same as the MCP355,so I guess I;ll try to find that pump. I believe the clear plastic barbs are what comes with the 120.2 I will be getting...but like I said I think I may go with the ncixus barbs since they are not plastic. Some pics would be helpful, thanks.

Yea I think the black barbs I got are a little better than the clear ones I got from DD or it could be that I used a more reasonable amount of teflon tape on them. The clear ones I got from DD started to leak at some point over the 2+ years the loop was together (passed leak test and pressure test in the beginning). It was a very slow leak and would have been ok due to radiator position but still I would never want leaky anything in my PC...
