well its been a while since i have had my panaflow.... and i think im going to go insane by how loud it is, its the 120mm M1A. i ordered it cause i was told its really quiet... this is not that case.... not at all. i wanna slow it down, i dont feel like buying a rheobus.... anything i can do? oh btw i have a 4 pin header

yes. if you have the 4pin header, you can do the 7volt mod.

basically, the fan right now is only using two wires, yellow (12v) and black (0v)

you would need to create a conversion plug thatll change the black into a red (5v) and therefore your potential will become 12-5=7v.

im sorry im not that specific, but im sure someone else can clarify what i mean or if you lookup 7 volt mod on google, youll find how to do this

the L1A is the quiet one, M1A is the medium one, and H1A is the very lid one. You should of bought the L1A.

You can do the mod like he mentioned, which all you have to do is switch around the yellow and black wires.

*red and black

there is no W in Panaflo.

7V mod - plug the fan's RED wire into your PSU's YELLOW header (+12V) and the fan's BLACK wire into your PSU's RED header (+5V).

12 - 5 = 7.

BTW, Panaflo's don't like to start if you drop the voltage any lower than 7V.

i had the same experience with my H1A<-- AAAAAH so loud.

it wouldn't start at 5v at first, but eventually it started liking the 5v.

And yes, the mod mentioned above is right.

the leads from the fan = red and black
the red goes to the yellow on the molex plug and the black goes to the red on the molex plug

7volt.com

hmmm im trying to do the 7 volt to another fan, but it has a breakout molex with the male and femal connector crap.... dont know how to do it

bend the harpoon part of the pins so you can pull them out, then bend them back and put them in desired orientation
