you know google docs and editgrid?
basically i want to set up on a webserver, an open sauce app that can do the same things... i want control over it
this way 25 or so machines in that particular office (or ALL the offices if i put it on the internets) can edit excel sheets using thier browser... and i don't have to buy 300 dollar software for each of them to edit a friggin sheet...
and i've not been approved to install openoffice, so don't ask (they are scared of it, and this is a giant corporation, so don't try to give me pointers on how to make them budge)
and being the giant corporation, they are retarded, because they make the people edit .xls sheets without excel, and then when the people complain because they can't, they send them over to the company software store to buy excel for themselves... we're talking upwards of 500 machines in 22 offices
it really is quite rediculous
anybody have any experience with those remote/virtual linux desktops and stuff?
