News is...

Max Graphics on Doom 3 (Ultra High)... Completly playable, nothing I've run into yet that's short of smooth

Max Graphics on FarCry (all Max) and 4x Anti***** 1280x1024

I'm going to go out and max the Anti on both and see what happens... but I really don't need to since I'm running at high Res...

Not that expensive of a machine and I'm running it all... I'm happy!
 
thats all you can get on the 9800?

i had the 128 and I got mine to 400/425
 
NOpe I'm running it at 1280x1024...

About the Video... well on DOOM i get artifacts I don't on anything else so I lowered it... Also I have a very warm room :(... Also, it's stock cooling
 
Could it be vsync problems and not O/C?

According to this article:

"Turn on vertical refresh sync — When you get into the game, the first thing you're going to want to do is enable vertical refresh sync, or vsync. Without vsync enabled (and it's disabled by default) you'll see lots of tearing (a sort of screen fragmentation) in DOOM 3."

I assume you only get it during O/C but, just a thought.
