this is my overclock:
benchmark.JPG

not bad for the system in my sig? i would go higher fsb but my motherboard isnt agp/pci locked and it will not support 200fsb at any speeds. i just have a crappy little thermaltake volcano 12 extreme on my processor and 3 case fans, 38-39 degrees isnt bad on air?
so pretty much i was just wondering if i could get higher clock speeds if i bought a nice motherboard like an nf7-s or dfi infinity? as you can see in the benchmark, thats my processor owning an fx-53 :D .

just felt like posting it. what do you guys think?

Not bad, here's mine:

edit: This is on a dfi infinity and with a zalman 7000alcu + antec super lanboy. Maxes at about 40. So your 38-39 is good.

Holy crap. What good is an overclock if you're running it at 640x480! haha

Actually, he doesn't.

Your fucking rails are through the floor. I'm suprised it even boots, let alone benches.

12v rail at 10v!?
3.3v rail at 2.86v!?
-12v rail at -5.33v!?
-5v rail at 0v!?

Maybe it's reading wrong. If not, then you are a nutcase to run it like that. That PSU is highly overdrawn.

You aint shittin, I wouldn't even use that PSU to power my fans.. Nice OC, but you may be able to achieve it at lower Vcore if you upgrade to a Nice enermax 430 or TruePower 480

That power supply should be more than enough for that setup. I would assume it is reporting incorrectly, you may want to check it out in the bios.

Running on a board that supports 200 frontside (or more) would make some difference. But in this day and age I don't think you should buy a new motherboard to achieve it.

Maybe if you picked up something cheap in the fs/ft and were able to use your current one in something else.

wow i never checked the voltage rails through mbm. those are rediculous. ill check in bios. the power supply is no more than 3 months old, if those rails are correct would they let me RMA it?

i was just wondering though, with a nf7-s or infinity could i get somethin like 220x11? i dont want to spend $100 on no visible performance, especially when the new socket 939 processors are coming out so soon.

Are those your max/load temps or idle?

DFI Infinity NF2 Ultra 400 will yield you 230+. I just built a pc for a guy, his did 260FSB, before the PSU fried taking the mobo with it. Most common is 235-240 range is what I see almost everyone of them at. forums.amdmb.com, has a DFI section with a guy we call AG "Angry_games" He is a DFI rep and can tell you more about it. My DFI lanparty nf2 board was a rev A from last october and it did 243 out of the box on a passively cooled NB.

Plus it supports 3.3V vdimm and 2v vcore, with adjustable NB voltage to 1.9v

1) What are u talking about?
2) What does a CPU Overclock have to do with screen resolution?
3) What are u talking about?

i tried lowering the resolution to 1024x768 so the picture would load faster. i guess i screwed up because theres white lines over the borders.

Get yourself a nforce 2 ultra-400 mobo, some bh-5, a better psu and a nice vid card and that shit will haul ass.

why not jsut say "buy a new system"

lol That's onboard motherboard sensors. They're never right. It wouldn't boot at those voltages. He's fine, and his PSU is fine.

they may be bad, they may not be. try getting a hold of a voltmeter and checking them manually. you can just power up the computer then check on a molex for the 5v and 12v. the 3.3v is harder, and the -5v is no longer necessary so it is being omitted now. it was used exclusively for the ISA bus, so the 0v reading is fine. it should be there if it is a new psu:D

that reminds me, i have to vmod my psu a little. the 3.3v and 5v are a little bit low (still technically within tolerances, but i want then over not under, if anything. the 12v is high:/)

good luck.

I agree that its almost definitely reading wrong - MBM 5 has been known to do that sometimes. But to be THAT wrong may be a little suspicious. The voltmeter is a good idea.

A ghetto check would to be to load up prime or a game and see if it runs stable. If it is, then most likely those votages are wrong. If those voltages are near-true it should crash and reboot.
